Joe Damore, LFACHE, is the Founder and President of Damore Health Advisors. Joe is a nationally recognized expert on health reform, value-based care and payment, and has published numerous articles on health care management, finance, delivery, and value-based care and payment. 

Vice President of Strategy, Innovation and Population Health (SIPH) | Premier, Inc.

Previously Joe served as Vice President of Strategy, Innovation and Population Health (SIPH) at Premier, Inc. from 2011-2020, a $35 million business unit responsible for assisting physician groups, hospitals and health systems, health plans, and integrated health systems in implementing value-based care and payment arrangements, including Accountable Care Organizations.

His responsibilities included leading Premier’s 80 person SIPH team in providing collaborative, technology, and advisory services to over 100 health care organizations in areas such as strategic business planning, clinical integration, new value-based care and payer arrangements, quality and financial improvement, and implementation of value-based capabilities in more than 200 markets across in the United States. 

Joe led the development of the first claims based ACO benchmarking and performance improvement tool used by ACOs covering nearly 2 million Medicare lives, enabling the majority of ACO members to outperform their national peers by nearly 50% in shared savings.

President and CEO | Mission Health System and Sparrow Health System

Prior to joining Premier, Joe served as the President and CEO of Mission Health System, a $1 billion integrated delivery system in Asheville, NC from 2004 to 2010 and CEO of Sparrow Health System, a $1 billion health system in Lansing, MI from 1990 to 2004. He also served in leadership positions with the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC (now Prisma Health) as Vice President and the Sisters of Mercy Health Corporation (now Trinity Health) as Executive Vice President. 


His entire career as a health care leader has focused on building and developing regional integrated health systems, including integrating comprehensive delivery systems and health plans as well as building and expanding several successful provider-sponsored health plans.

Joe has received numerous awards for successful and innovative leadership of integrated systems, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from The Ohio State University Graduate Program in Health Administration and the Healthcare Forum Emerging Health Care Leader Award in U.S. health care. 

Volunteer Service

Joe also has served in numerous voluntary roles including Chair of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association of The Ohio State University, a member of the Michigan Governor’s Health Care Advisory Committee and on the Boards of both the North Carolina and Michigan Hospital Associations.

He served on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance for Advancing Nonprofit Health Care, Kent (mutual) Fund, several hospitals and health systems, MHAIC Insurance Company, and the Caymich Insurance Company.

Joe resides with his family in the Washington D.C. area.
